Challenge
The goal was not only to introduce the project, but to design an experience that clearly expressed the shared vision between adidas and Dmeow - celebrating creativity, community, and the energy that emerges when two distinct voices come together. Every element of the launch needed to reinforce that sense of partnership and collective spirit, ensuring the moment felt larger than the space itself.
Solution
The solution was a meticulously designed pop-up activation that transformed limitations into creative opportunities. The event space at APW, Bangsar, was reimagined as a storybook merry-go-round, inviting guests into a world of pastel clouds, carousel horses, and playful Dmeow characters.
The collection’s official reveal was staged theatrically, with Dmeow founders Chang Yong and Shu Sen emerging from the life-size installation to share the collaboration’s inspiration. In a nod to Chinese New Year, the traditional Yee Sang toss brought guests together in a ritual of prosperity and new beginnings.
Interactive zones - like Dress-a-Dee, where visitors styled the Dee mascot, and the Fortune Toss Challenge, where guests created custom keychains - wove digital, experiential, and creative elements into a seamless journey. Attendees previewed the adidas Originals × Dmeow collection ahead of its public release, making the pop-up a hub of anticipation and shared experience.
Impact
The campaign achieved strong results, generating significant media coverage, robust creator engagement, and impressive on-ground turnout. Sixty creators amplified the event, drawing steady consumer footfall throughout the activation period.
